Julia Letlow Highlights Meta Expansion, Trump Accounts and Key Federal Issues

Meta Data Center Brings New Opportunities to Northeast Louisiana

Congresswoman Julia Letlow says Meta’s expanded data center investment in Richland Parish could transform Northeast Louisiana’s future. The project will bring 1,000 permanent, high-paying jobs along with thousands of construction and support opportunities.

Letlow praised state leaders and Meta for working with the community to build long-term economic growth. She said the investment will create ripple effects in education, health care, housing, and local businesses.

A major part of the announcement includes a $50,000 bonus for teachers in Richland Parish. Letlow called the investment in educators a sign that companies recognize the importance of strong schools.

New Trump Accounts Aim to Build Family Wealth

Letlow also discussed new child investment accounts created under federal legislation. The accounts provide eligible children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, with a $1,000 initial contribution.

Families can add up to $5,000 annually to help build long-term financial security. Letlow said the program encourages parents to start investing early and gives children a stronger financial foundation.

She encouraged eligible families to explore the program and take advantage of the opportunity.

Congresswoman Discusses Daylight Saving Time and Election Plans

Letlow addressed the House vote on making Daylight Saving Time permanent. She said a survey of 200,000 people in her district showed that 80% supported the change.

She also shared that she has returned to the campaign trail after spending time with her family following the primary election. Letlow said she plans to continue working across her district through Election Day.

The congresswoman also remembered former State Senator Larry Selders, praising his dedication to public service and his commitment to helping others. She offered prayers and support for his family during their time of loss.
