Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Returns to Baton Rouge, Supporting Veterans and First Responders

A popular Baton Rouge fundraiser is back, and it continues to grow its impact each year. “Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em,” founded in 2014, will once again bring the community together for a casual, outdoor event that supports veterans and first responders.

The event combines a tailgate-style atmosphere with a clear mission. Guests can expect food, cigars, drinks, live music, and both live and silent auctions. At its core, the fundraiser raises money for organizations that serve those who protect the country and local communities.

This year, proceeds will benefit Folds of Honor and the Louisiana Firefighters Foundation. Both groups provide direct support to military families and firefighters across Louisiana and beyond.

Organizers stress that every dollar raised goes directly to these causes. That includes ticket sales. A $100 ticket covers entry, food, drinks, and a cigar, but it also serves as a full donation.

The event will take place at the University Club clubhouse. Organizers say the venue offers a strong setting for both the social and fundraising sides of the event. They also teased a major announcement planned for attendees.

Local partnerships continue to play a key role. Sponsors and vendors help cover costs so donations can go further. That support has allowed the fundraiser to expand its reach over the years.

The event also connects to the community in real time. While promoting the fundraiser, organizers appeared live from the LSU Parade Grounds during a bone marrow donor drive, highlighting another way Baton Rouge residents can step up and help others.

Tickets are available now, and organizers expect a strong turnout again this year.
