Mary Robinson Preps Us For The Homestretch of the Legislative Session

As the legislative session nears its end, key bills remain on the table. The LED restructuring bill (SB 494) and budget bills are under scrutiny. Speaker Devali aims for an early wrap-up, with the House aiming to conclude by May 31st. While the final passage deadline is the 31st, the House’s efficiency could impact the outcome. The LED restructuring bill, SB 494, had a hearing in the House Commerce Committee and should be up for final passage on the House floor soon. Additionally, the budget bills were heard in the Senate Finance Committee, and amendments were added last night. These bills now need to pass the Senate floor and return to the House for concurrence with the amendments¹².
