Election Day Final Push: Blake Miguez Fights for Louisiana’s 6th Congressional District

Election Day has finally arrived, and Louisiana State Senator Blake Miguez is making his final push to represent the 6th Congressional District in Washington, D.C. After months of traveling across the district—from New Roads and Baton Rouge to Thibodaux and Gonzales—Miguez enters Election Day focused on lower costs and conservative principles.

Fighting High Costs for Working Families

During a conversation with host Brian Haldane, Miguez highlighted the economic challenges facing everyday Louisianans. Hardworking families continue to deal with rising grocery bills and escalating insurance costs. Miguez believes voters deserve a representative who works just as hard as they do every single day.

Leveraging his background in the oil and gas industry, Miguez plans to champion American energy independence. Lowering fuel prices, creating sustainable local jobs for future generations, and bringing federal tax dollars back home to repair Louisiana’s roads remain top priorities for his platform.

A Proven Conservative Track Record

Miguez stands out in the race as the candidate endorsed by the National Rifle Association and the Republican Party of Louisiana, earning support from national conservative figures like Jim Jordan and Brandon Gill. As a seven-generation Louisianan, Miguez grounds his campaign in deep local roots and a commitment to protecting the state’s agriculture and energy sectors.

The Election Day Playbook

Instead of slowing down, Miguez is spending Election Day actively campaigning across Baton Rouge, Livingston, and Ascension Parishes. After greeting voters on street corners, connecting over Cajun lunch, and relieving a little steam at Range USA on Airline Highway, Miguez will host an election night watch party at Mike Anderson’s on Lee Drive—a location just steps from where he lived as a student attending LSU.

Polls close across the state at 8:00 PM.
