LABI Policy Forum Brings Louisiana Leaders Together
Patrick Robinson of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) joined Brian Haldane on Mornings with Brian Haldane to discuss the recent LABI Policy Forum and the major issues shaping Louisiana’s future.

Energy Remains Critical to Louisiana’s Economy
Robinson emphasized the importance of energy to Louisiana, noting that the industry supports a significant share of the state’s economy, billions of dollars in payroll and revenue, and tens of thousands of jobs.
The conversation also examined Representative Brett Geymann’s HB 804, which Robinson said seeks to provide greater legal certainty for businesses while maintaining environmental and regulatory standards. He praised the effort to balance economic growth with responsible environmental stewardship.
Panelists also discussed major economic development projects and their impact on Louisiana communities. Robinson pointed to new construction jobs, local contractors and increased tax revenue as examples of economic benefits already reaching residents.
Protecting Consumers and Looking Toward the Future
