River Parishes Community College (RPCC) bridges the gap between local education and high-paying careers. Serving over 3,500 students, RPCC aligns its programs directly with regional industry needs in Ascension Parish and surrounding areas.
Programs Built for Everyday Life
Whether you want a rapid career shift or an associate degree, RPCC offers flexible scheduling options. Programs span high-demand fields such as process technology, healthcare, electrical concentration, and welding. Short-term certifications, like the 8-week medical assistant track, allow students to step directly into the workforce or build toward higher credentials like Practical Nursing over time.
Real Support and Active Student Life
RPCC supports students beyond the classroom with dedicated success coaches, financial aid assistance, and mental health services. Campus life fosters strong leadership through the Student Government Association and honor societies like Phi Theta Kappa.
Career-Focused Connections
RPCC connects students directly to industry giants like Dow and BASF. Through unique initiatives like Industry Match Day, students showcase hands-on technical skills and participate in speed-interviewing sessions with local employers before graduation.
