Mental Health Awareness Month is shining a light on the connection between emotional struggles and physical health. On Talk 107.3, Jordan from NeuroJust joined the show with patient James to discuss anxiety, grief, and recovery through TMS treatment.
James shared how anxiety affected his life for years. He dealt with constant teeth grinding, pelvic floor pain, and stress-related health problems. Doctors could not find a physical cause for the pain. Over time, James realized anxiety played a major role in his daily struggles.
James said he heard about NeuroJust through radio ads and social media. That led him to try TMS treatment. TMS, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, uses magnetic pulses to target areas of the brain linked to depression and anxiety. The treatment does not require surgery or medication.
James completed 36 TMS sessions. He described the process as simple and manageable. Treatments lasted about 20 minutes. He also said the staff helped make every visit comfortable and positive.
The biggest change for James was learning how to recognize anxiety before it became overwhelming. He said he now feels more confident and more in control of situations that once triggered panic and fear.
The interview also focused on grief during major life events. Jordan explained that graduations, holidays, and Father’s Day can trigger emotional pain for people who have lost loved ones. He said those feelings can sometimes lead to depression if left untreated.
Jordan said many patients respond well to TMS treatment. According to NeuroJust, about 64% of patients experience full remission from depression and anxiety symptoms. Another 86% report at least a 50% improvement.
Mental Health Awareness Month continues to remind people that support and treatment options are available for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and grief.
