St. Vincent de Paul Celebrates 160 Years of Service with Baton Rouge Event

Celebration of Service honors legacy and impact

St. Vincent de Paul Baton Rouge will host its first major annual event, the Celebration of Service, marking 160 years of helping the community. The event will honor longtime board member Andy Adler for nearly three decades of leadership and support.

Four pillars guide daily work

The organization focuses on four key areas: feed, clothe, house, and heal. Its dining hall serves more than 300 people daily, totaling over 300,000 meals each year. The shelter provides beds for about 140 people nightly, with emergency openings during extreme weather.

Critical health services fill gaps

Its charitable pharmacy delivers over $1 million in free prescriptions annually, helping uninsured and underinsured residents access needed care.
