The Capital Region Crime Stoppers hosted its 10th Annual Awards Luncheon to celebrate law enforcement officers and community partners across nine Louisiana parishes. This milestone event brings together business leaders, officers, and residents to honor individuals who go above and beyond to protect local communities.
Recognizing Dedicated Service and Anonymous Tipsters
While officers receive essential recognition for their brave investigations, community members play an equally vital role. Anonymous tipsters provide critical information through calls to 344-7867 or submissions at crimestoppers225.com. These confidential leads allow investigators to solve cases, identify suspects, and remove dangerous individuals from the streets. Successful tips also earn cash rewards for vigilant citizens.
Highlights from the Milestone Gathering
This year’s program featured LSU basketball coach Will Wade as the guest speaker, alongside WAFB’s Matt Williams serving as master of ceremonies. Special honorees included Desmond and Rashad from the Beyond Bars initiative, recognized for their impactful work educating youth on choices and consequences.
Attendees enjoyed a collaborative atmosphere at the Renaissance Hotel, where officers sat directly with local community sponsors. Business owners and residents can visit crimestoppers225.com to learn how to sponsor future events and support local public safety efforts.
