New Film Focuses on Life, Hope, and Redemption
Louisiana author and filmmaker Carrie Simon is preparing for the national release of her newest movie, Life Is My Choice. The faith-based film recently wrapped production and is expected to reach audiences across the country.
Simon helped write and produce the project. She said the film tells a story about the value of every human life. It also explores the challenges that come with an unplanned pregnancy.
“We want people to see that every life has purpose,” Simon said during a recent interview on Talk 107.3.
A Story Driven by People and Choices
The film follows several characters whose lives connect through one unexpected pregnancy. As the story unfolds, viewers see how different choices affect families and relationships.
The movie tackles topics such as fatherhood, grief, courage, and redemption. Simon said the film focuses on people rather than politics.
She hopes audiences connect with the characters and their personal struggles. The goal is to encourage understanding and conversation.
“We want to humanize the issue,” Simon said. “We want people to see the people behind the choices.”
Kevin Sorbo Joins the Project
The film gained attention when actor and filmmaker Kevin Sorbo joined the project.
Sorbo is known for starring in the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and the film God’s Not Dead. He became interested in Life Is My Choice after seeing an earlier version at a film festival.
Simon said Sorbo and his family embraced the project and enjoyed working with Louisiana crews and talent.
More Than a Film
Simon is also known for her advocacy work for vulnerable children. Her book, Save Them All, highlights many of the same themes found in her creative work.
She believes storytelling can inspire change and encourage compassion.
As Life Is My Choice moves toward its release, Simon hopes the film sparks meaningful conversations and leaves audiences with a message of hope.
