Baton Rouge police are asking the public to help identify suspects in two violent crimes in the capital region.
Robbery Targets Elderly Woman
Investigators say a suspect robbed an 80-year-old woman on Feb. 14 in the 1400 block of North 27th Street. The woman warmed up her vehicle when the suspect approached, made threats, and stole the car. She complied and avoided injury, but the suspect fled the scene in her vehicle. Police released clear images of the shirtless suspect and believe someone in the community can identify him.
Attempted Murder Suspect Wanted
Police also seek 34-year-old Darren Hudson on charges that include attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. Detectives say Hudson confronted a man sitting in a parked vehicle near Plank Road and Iroquois Street. The argument escalated. Hudson allegedly fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the back. The victim survived.
