Paul Sawyer has announced his run for Louisiana State Representative in District 69. He says Louisiana is falling behind neighboring states and can no longer afford slow progress. In particular, Sawyer points to Mississippi’s rapid economic growth as a wake-up call.
Throughout his career, Sawyer has worked in public service and economic development. He has also served as chief of staff to Congressman Garrett Graves and currently works with the Amite River Basin Commission. In addition, he operates as a small business owner, giving him firsthand experience with taxes, regulations, and job creation.
As a result, Sawyer says his campaign will focus on results. His top priorities include lowering insurance costs, strengthening the economy, improving infrastructure, reducing crime, and supporting education. Moreover, he believes these issues are directly tied to keeping families and young professionals in Louisiana.
Finally, with a short timeline before the March 14 election, Sawyer says he is prepared to act quickly. If elected, he plans to go to work immediately and introduce legislation focused on those core priorities.
