A classic French holiday tradition is coming to Baton Rouge. The Stockade Bed and Breakfast will host a Revillon Dinner on December 18 from 6–9 p.m. The event offers a warm, community-focused celebration built around great food, wine, and culture.
A Réveillon began in France during the Middle Ages. Families fasted on Christmas or New Year’s Day, then gathered at midnight for a large meal to break the fast. The Stockade will keep the tradition’s spirit but shift it to an evening dinner for convenience. Guests will still enjoy the same sense of indulgence and celebration.
The idea started with Stockade owner Janice Delerno and local French-language advocate Nancy Little. Both wanted to create an experience that brings people together. They teamed up with Chef Jeremy Coco, a Johnston & Wales graduate known for his talent and storytelling. He has worked at Fleming’s, Walk-On’s, and the Louisiana Culinary Institute. His meals create an experience, not just a menu.
Chef Coco designed a full multi-course dinner. Guests will start with champagne and an amuse-bouche. Shrimp and okra gumbo follows, paired with a Chenin Blanc selected by Matherne’s Market. Next comes a chopped salad with pepper jelly vinaigrette and a Burgundy Pinot Noir. The main course is a strip steak served with truffled potatoes and garlic bacon Brussels sprouts, paired with a Napa Valley Cabernet. Dessert closes the night with white chocolate espresso bread pudding topped with salted rum brown-butter caramel and matched with a port.
Wine pairings are optional, but they elevate each course and highlight Coco’s craft.
Tickets are available until Friday, December 12. To reserve a seat, visit littlebylittle.live/holiday or call the Stockade at 225-281-7358. This Revillon Dinner promises a festive night of flavor and fellowship.
