It’s the first time New Orleans is hosting this competition, which attracts a wide range of participants—from kids to adults—and includes interactive activities for fans.
In July, GalaxyCon will debut in New Orleans (July 11–13), bringing comic book and gaming fans together. Notably, Murr from Impractical Jokers will attend. UFC 318 follows on July 19 at the Smoothie King Center, featuring Louisiana native Dustin Poirier in a major bout against Max Holloway. The event is expected to draw thousands of fans and hundreds of journalists, showcasing New Orleans as a premier sports destination.
Other highlights include White Linen Night on August 2, a celebration of the arts in the Warehouse District, and Tales of the Cocktail in July. The New Orleans Food and Wine Experience will also return, offering tastings and seminars from top chefs.
August brings the third annual NOLA Pickle Fest (August 6–10), benefiting the Drew Brees Dream Foundation and featuring a celebrity match with Brees himself. The USA Gymnastics Championships will also return to New Orleans for the first time in over 30 years, giving fans a chance to see future Olympians in action. Schulz concluded by teasing a future discussion on the Essence Festival, another major summer highlight.
