With so many people in Baton Rouge finding their lane to help and accelerating in it, it’s no surprise that Jenni Peters, Owner of Varsity Sports, would find hers in a space that gets Baton Rouge outdoors to move around a bit. Peters joined Brian Haldane to talk about her new idea, well kind of a new twist on a previous idea, to give Brooks Park, City Park, and the Perkins Road Overpass a new look and some new life. She is introducing Envision Baton Rouge, a collaborative effort to inject new ideas into some of Baton rouge’s parks.
While only in the beginning stages of planning, Peters talks about how creating a conservancy to nurture Brooks Park, City Park, and the Perkins Road Overpass can help accelerate their popularity, while lightening the load on BREC.
