ExxonMobil Gives Us A Closer Look At Their Partnerships in Baton Rouge

In this conversation, Anna Johnson from the West Baton Rouge Chamber and Rory Denicola from ExxonMobil discuss exciting opportunities and partnerships. The focus is on an innovative suite of projects introduced last year.

One significant project centers around West Baton Rouge, where ExxonMobil is considering an investment of over $100 million. This investment could create nine potential jobs at the Allen lubricants plant. The project involves state-of-the-art resins, aligning with the new energy transition.

The term “innovation suite” refers to three projects: two in East Baton Rouge and one in West Baton Rouge. In East Baton Rouge, there’s an isopropyl alcohol unit—a highly pure method for cleaning. The West Baton Rouge project remains under consideration, and there’s also potential for advanced recycling in East Baton Rouge.

Advanced recycling aims to enhance sustainability by utilizing cutting-edge methods. Overall, these initiatives demonstrate a commitment to progress and collaboration between ExxonMobil and local partners.
