In the depths of the Rising Stone Cave in Johannesburg, South Africa, an international team of researchers found the first partial skull of an ancient human relative. The findings appear to be over 250,000 years old belonging to a girl they have named “Letty.” A member of that team and the author of the first published paper on the find is Dr. Juliet Brophy. Dr. Brophy joins the show for the first interview of hour three to talk about this fascinating story. Brian asks Dr. Brophy when and how this all started and how big of a finding this is compared to the other data collected from that location.
