Rob Stuart was on the show to break down the current condition of the LSU lakes. There is a large amount of algae in the lakes and Rob says that is because the lakes were originally a swamp area, so you are fighting nature and preventing the lake from doing what it wants to naturally, which explains why maintenance is so difficult. Rob says that one way to fix this problem will be to make the lakes significantly deeper, which in spots could deepen it from 3-5 feet to 20 feet. He discusses this process and how long this overall plan will take. Hear the full interview here.
