Congressman Troy Carter Talks About A Child Tax Credit 7-14-21

Congressman Troy Carter was on the show to talk about a child tax credit made possible by the president’s American Rescue Plan.  It will give $300 a month to families with underage children to help out due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Congressman Carter says this will help pulls the families and children out of poverty, and it will be the largest effort to impact families since 1960.  He believes that this could potentially lower the poverty rate by 50 percent.  If you are interested in applying for this program, go to www.childtaxcredit.gov.
