Rick Ward Talks Infrastructure And Drug Court 7-7-21

State Senator Rick Ward was on the show today to talk about the state infrastructure package that was signed by the Governor.  Ward says the 300 million dollars for infrastructure projects will be enough for a lot of improvements to roads and bridges in the state, including the Calcasieu bridge and the Mississippi River bridge.  The senator also discusses additional funding that could be received for projects due to federal money.  Then, he discusses a bill he had in the session involving the establishment of a drug court, which was ultimately vetoed.  Ward explains why he brought up this bill and what he was hoping to get out of it.  Here the full segment here.
