State Speaker of the House Clay Schexnayder joined us today to talk about the potential for a veto override session. Schexnayder talks about the chances of this override session occurring and what we could possibly see if this happens. This override session stems from the Governor vetoing a bill that if passed would have prevent biological males from competing in women’s sports in Louisiana. Schexnayder explains why this bill is so important to the state. Also, he breaks down the other two bills that could be up for discussion during the veto override session. He talks about how well the house and the senate have worked together and why he thinks the the senate would share the same thoughts on an override session.
