Autry Pruitt was in studio this morning and starts off by breaking down his background in radio and why as an African-American man he is republican. Autry then shifts his focus and discusses the New Journey PAC which tries to convince African Americans to vote republican. Autry tries to explain why there are not more black republicans and what the republican party needs to do in order to receive some of those votes. Then, he talks about Donald Trump’s impact on the black community due to his immigration policies. Autry discusses how Trump already had his foot in the door with black America due to pop culture and how other republican candidates that aren’t as well known can get a percentage of the black vote. Finally, Autry previews the event at LABI and what folks can expect from the event.
