Ben Schott Talks About This Year’s Hurricane Season 6-15-21

Ben Schott with NOAA joined the show to talk about this hurricane season.  He starts off by talking about a system that is just outside the Gulf of Mexico, which will move into the Northern Gulf later in the week.  While there is very little organization with this storm, Ben says the east of the system will experience heavy rain with large amounts of rainfall possible.  Then, he breaks down the temperature of the Gulf right now and what that could mean for the storm season.  While the models for this storm are all over the place Ben projects that somewhere between Lake Charles and Mobile, Alabama will experience possible flooding due to heavy rainfall.  Finally, he compares this season to last year and what the new normal for hurricane season could look like.
