Governor John Bel Edwards joined the show today to talk about his recent hearing in D.C. that focused on the oil and gas industry in Louisiana. Edwards explains how vital the industry is to the state’s economy. Governor Edwards says that the response to the hearing was mostly positive and is optimistic that the industry can continue. He also discusses other forms of energy such as wind and solar energy and how Louisiana can incorporate it into the state economy. Then the Governor discusses pandemic funding and whether or not it can be spent on infrastructure. Finally, Governor Edwards talks about some of the new energy projects that the state is working on.
