Col. Mike Edmonson, former head of Louisiana State Police, joined Brian for a full hour to share stories from his career. The intent was to talk about policing in general, and experiences from his entire career, but one area in particular ruled the day.
One responsibility of the head of the State Police is to escort LSU’s Football Coach on the sidelines of the games. Mike started this practice in Louisiana in 1982.
He talked about why they started it. He talked about the coaches he has protected. He told stories about a few of the crazier games that he experienced, and really gave a “behind the curtain” look at Nick Saban, Les Miles, and a few others.
