Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul joined today’s show to talk about what his department is doing during the Coronavirus outbreak and how they plan on enforcing the stay-at-home order issued by Governor John Bel Edwards. Then, the chief breaks down crime in the area and how for the most part crime has been low during this time, but he has seen a spike in certain types of offenses and crimes. Finally, Chief Paul explains how the shutdowns due to Covid-19 have negatively impacted the recruits that are going through the academy and when the police academy will be back up and running.
