Garret Graves hosted a Grub with Garret event near Lafourche Parish recently and had face to face talks with the residents of that area. Graves says that most of the conversations centered around economic development. He spoke to residents about the energy crisis, specifically focusing on how to diversify the economy and how to capitalize on the independent energy dominance. Garret explains that the economy is energy heavy because of the new energy center that was recently placed there but tourists fishing has helped diversify the area.
Graves then shifts his focus to New Orleans, where he will be speaking about infrastructure. He will be down in New Orleans to talk about the importance of infrastructure, including flood control and coastal restoration.
Finally, Garret discusses what is on his schedule in the coming days and what he is working on.
