Hollywood Casino Celebrity Burger Battle: try MY burger and help fight ALS

The summer-long Burger Battle between me and my esteemed colleague Clarence Buggs is ON. We have each designed a burger that Celebrity Grill Chef Kerry Whitaker will serve up, with 25% of the cost going to our favorite charity. For me, that was a no-brainer: the fight against ALS, also called Lou Gehrig’s Disease. I recently spent some time talking with Paula Shamsie, the executive director of the ALS Association, Louisiana-Mississippi chapter.

Click below to hear me and Paula chat about this terrible disease, recent advances in treatment and why more funding for research and support is badly needed. By the way, my burger is a 1/3 pound BISON patty – lean and hearty, cooked to perfection, with cheddar and pepper jack cheese, grilled sweet onions, roma tomato, romaine lettuce and Chef Kerry’s house made pickle and signature steak sauce. I hope you’ll go by Celebrity Grill at Hollywood Casino and try one soon. They are open for dinner Wednesday thru Sunday nights.
