Medical Monday 3-23-20

On this week’s Medical Monday, Jay Thomas from Our Lady of the Lake Blood Donor Center joined the show to talk about the huge need for blood donation.  Jay says that Our Lady of the Lake would like to collect enough blood to help the patients in need.  He explains how the Coronavirus has negatively impacting blood donation and how they have changed the donation process to make it friendlier and more sanitary.  Our Lady of the Lake is asking donors to set up an oppointment ahead of time to limit the number of people that are there at one time.  Then, Thomas explains the different types of donations a person can give and how many lives one donor can save.  Visit Our Lady of the Lake’s website or give them a call to learn more about the blood drive.  Hear the full interview with Jay Thomas here!
