Legally Served With Franz Borghardt 2-12-20

On this week’s Legally Served, attorney Franz Borghardt was in studio to talk about the recent controversy surrounding the Livingston Parish School Board.  A woman has filed a complaint against the school board because of discrimination involving her special needs child.  Her child recent started running away and she has a doctor prescribed ankle monitor where she can hear what her daughter is doing and she can talk to her daughter in case she tries to run away.  The school board is refusing to allow the child to wear the monitor because they claim that it is a recording device which is prohibited on school grounds.  The school board took it a step further by suing the parent and claim that she is not allowed to talk about this matter on social media.  Franz breaks down the legality of this and what the result of this bizarre situation will be.
