Chief Murphy Paul Talks Rise In Homicides


Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul was in studio today to talk about the rise in homicides during the month of November.  In regards to the recent shootings in Baton Rouge, Chief Paul says he believes a lot of them were related to each other due to gang or group activity.  Despite the high homicide numbers, the Chief says that Baton Rouge murder rates are still lower than they have been in recent years.

Since it it Christmas time, Chief Paul discusses the DWI rates during the holiday season.  A lot of folks will be having parties and drinking around the holiday’s and Paul breaks down the number of DWI arrests near the holiday’s and how folks can use alternate means of transportation to prevent drunk driving.
