Chief Murphy Paul On Department Vacancies

Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul joined us in studio today to talk about a variety of topics.

Chief Paul starts the discussion by detailing the amount of vacancies his department currently has.  The chief says that BRPD is very short handed, with 74 total vacancies within the department.  Chief Paul says that the recent recruitment events have helped though because they have a large number of officers that will graduate from the Baton Rouge Police Academy next Monday.

Murphy Paul also addressed an anonymous complaint that has been going around about an alleged verbal altercation that occurred at the vigil that was recently held in honor of Sadie Roberts-Joseph.
