School is back in session, which means it’s time to get your child back on a proper sleep schedule. Dr. Jennifer Brown, a Pediatric Pulmonologist and Sleep Specialist at Our Lady of the Lake joined the show to talk about getting your kids on a sleep routine.
Dr. Brown talks about the recommended amount of sleep for children of different ages. She explains the recommended times but that it varies depending on the childs age. Dr. Brown also details the different methods that parents can use to help their child fall asleep in order to figure out what method works best for you. She says that having a child fall asleep by watching tv is a bad idea because the child might stay up later than they need to.
