Shooting on Corporate Boulevard UPDATED

Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating an apparent domestic attempted murder and suicide that initially occurred around 7:30am Monday at 5321 Corporate Blvd.

It appears that fifty-six year old Vincent Parker had approached a 53 year old female, with whom he was acquainted, and began a verbal altercation which led to a struggle. Shortly after, the female victim suffered from an apparent gunshot injury. The female was able to drive herself to a local hospital. Her injuries appeared non-life threatening at this time.

Vincent Parker was later located at 376 Rivercrest Drive around 7:50am suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

We have received multiple reports that there was a shooting this morning at Lamar Advertising on Corporate Blvd. According to multiple accounts, there was a shooting around 7:30am that was the result of a domestic dispute.

A man reportedly got into a car with a woman, shot her, and then drove off. Those same reports said the victim drove herself to the hospital.

We have also learned that the man who allegedly did the shooting killed himself after fleeing the scene.
