How is duplication of benefits changing?
Graves explains what the duplication of benefits is and how families have been adversely affected due to the duplication of benefits. He says that they have laid out how people can get paid using HUD. Graves discusses the problems with this and talks about how certain criteria will prevent some families from ever receiving their duplication of benefits money. The good news is that they allow for interest payments to be covered, they allow those that are below a certain income threshold to receive their money, and they have laid out a path for the steps to take in order to get there. Graves also says that they are taking way too long to get people their money because it has been almost three years since the flood. Graves explains the process of meeting with the mayor and the governor in order to receive funding for the money. He then details his fight to get rid of the income threshold so that more people can receive their money. Finally, Graves talks about what he is currently working on D.C.
