That particular bill did not pass this year but she plans to bring it up again next year.

Davis says that her bill will provide tools to local government so that they can address blighted properties before they destroy the community. This bill outlines what the tax collector has to do with these blighted properties. You have to provide certified mail to interested parties, you have to post notice at the property, and contact the owner of the property to confirm that tax sale is occurring. Once the tax sale goes into place, the property owner has three years to get the property back.

Paula had a bill that says that in-patient residential facilities where opioid use is being treated has to provide medication assisted treatment. You have to be able to provide medication treatment plans if requested by a doctor. She hopes this will help patients more than absence treatments.
