Sports Betting With Danny Martiny

Metairie Senator Danny Martiny joined the show to talk about the Senate approving legislation to bring legal sports betting to Louisiana.  The bill has survived a Senate vote and is now heading to the House.  Martiny is the bill sponsor and he explains the different ways that legalizing sports betting will benefit the state economy.  Martiny’s legislation shows that sports betting would be legal at the 15 riverboat casinos and four racetracks across the state, as well as the land based casino in New Orleans.  Residents in the parishes that have those facilities would have to give approval before bets can be taken.
