DC CURRENT: Senator John Kennedy sides with POTUS on Emergency Declaration


Kevin chats with U.S. Senator John Kennedy, who voted against a resolution over-turning President Trump’s Emergency Declaration on security at the southern border. He’s disappointed the resolution passed, becasue a number of Republicans voted with the Democrat minority in his chamber. Trump will veto.

Also, Mr, Kennedy and Senator Bill Cassidy met with HUD Secretary Ben Carson about the Duplication Of Benefits debacle that’s keeping 2016 flood recovery money out of victims’ hands. He says he’s hopeful the dollars will start to flow to residents soon.  Click to listen.

Brian started in radio in late 2004 as a part-time board operator, but “made his bones” in the business a year later when Hurricane Katrina struck, catapulting him into a full time position covering both news and production of live broadcasts. Haldane was promoted to Program Director in 2008 and held that post until 2011 when he was recruited to help launch a new station. In 2011, Brian helped launch Talk 107.3 FM. He was the morning show co-host, and helped build the show and the station into a top 10 performer.
