It seems The Department Of Corrections can’t keep track of the inmates.


With all the legislation regarding reducing prison population, and early release for “non-violent” offenders, it seems that DOC can’t accurately keep track of prisoners locations and standard release dates anyway.  This is the second time this lack of standards has caught the attention of Louisiana Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera, and the audit doesn’t look good for DOC.  Mr. Purpera joined us on AMBR with some insight.

Brian Haldane
