Are you open “24/7” or NOT?

This morning on “A.M. BATON ROUGE” I took a few moments of “personal privilege” to vent on something (again). However, what’s grinding my gears is that the people working overnight at these places feel free to lock their doors in the wee small hours (when I am headed to work) with only a hand written sign reading “closed. sorry” in the window.

Am I wrong to think that “open 24 hours” means I can walk in a buy stuff anytime day or night? I personally do not believe their employers are aware they are doing this, so I went off on them – naming names.
