More issues to regulate BRPD before The Metro Council.


Some 5 issues dealing with where cops live, how much they are paid, recruiting minority officers, training and citizen boards will be heard at The Metro Council Meeting tonight.  Councilman and Mayoral Candidate John Delgado visited with AM Baton Rouge to fill us in on the issues.

Brian Haldane

Brian started in radio in late 2004 as a part-time board operator, but “made his bones” in the business a year later when Hurricane Katrina struck, catapulting him into a full time position covering both news and production of live broadcasts.     On the issue of the new black kitties protesting with their face covered and the BRPD having their hands tied now by the spineless city council… this is not equal protection nor treatment under the law… So the cowardly troglodytes that populate our council are instructing our police to A) ignore the law and B) ignore the American Constitution to provide exceptions to laws others because they are afraid of their reaction… this is an unacceptable precedent that is ripe for abuse.
