The Metro Council is considering another recent push by anti-smoking lobbyists to ban all smoking in bars and casinos. My position is simple: NO. We do not need any more local or state laws curtailing where one can or cannot engage in a completely legal activity. If local bar and casino operators which to enact anti-smoking policy, that is their prerogative. Many bars already have. LET THE MARKET DECIDE. As for persons working in these establishments … well, just click the file to hear Bill & I talk about it on “A.M. BATON ROUGE.”
